Warner Bros. Pictures’ forthcoming superhero movie Aquaman is getting a new release date in the UK – but don’t worry, it’s not being put back!

Originally, the comic book movie – the latest entry in the DC Extended Universe – was to open on Friday 21st December 2018. According to Digital Spy, the film will now open one week earlier on Friday 14th December 2018.

No reason has been given for the date change and at present the move only effects the UK release. The US release date is currently still set to 21st December (although this could change).

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa, Amber Heard, Patrick Wilson and Willem Dafoe. The movie is reportedly set after the events of Justice League (2017).
