A revival of early ’90s show, Clarissa Explains It All is in the pipeline.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Viacom is working on the project with original creator Mitchell Kriegman. What’s perhaps even more exciting is original star, Melissa Joan Hart is said to be in talks to return to the series.

If the show goes ahead, Hart would reprise the role of Clarissa Darling, only this time around she would be playing the mother role (presumably of teenage daughter who would be the star of the show). Hart would also take on the role of executive producer, via Hartbreak Films.

Clarissa Explains It All originally ran from 1991 until 1994. In the UK, the show aired on Nickelodeon and on BBC1, via Saturday morning kids show, Live & Kicking.
