Goosebumps 2 has added four new cast members.
According to Variety, Sony Pictures has signed four young actors to be the stars of the movie: Madison Iseman, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Ben O’Brien and Caleel Harris. Horror fans will know Taylor from his role of Ben in ‘It’ (2017), while Iseman most recently appeared in Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017).
Jack Black – one of the original stars of the Goosebumps sequel – is also attached to the project, but not in the role of horror author (and Goosebumps creator), R.L. Stine. Instead, Black will be providing voice over duties for Slappy the dummy – a role he also played in Goosebumps (2015).
Goosebumps 2 is being developed by Ari Sandel. Neal H. Moritz and Deborah Forte are on producer duties.
Story details are being kept secret at present and Goosebumps may or may not be running under the previously announced title of Goosebumps: Horror Land – it’s a little unclear. Either way, we’ve not got too long to find out what will happen in this sequel, as Goosebumps 2 is due out later this year.
