He-Man and Mekaneck help out – Masters of the Universe: Tales from Eternia reviewed

It’s week 16 of Masters of the Universe: Tales from Eternia, and with Skeletor causing more problems in Eternia it’s not long before He-Man and Mekaneck are caught up in yet another battle to protect the planet. And this time around the battle leads to the heroes being eaten by a creature who happens to surface mid-fight.

But as Mekaneck soon deduces, the creature isn’t another foe – it’s an animal in trouble. Can He-Man and Mekaneck help this fellow Eternian out with some digestive issues?

There’s not a great deal of depth to this week’s episode of Tales from Eternia, but what episode 16 ‘Skeletor’s Droid of Destruction!‘ lacks in story it makes up for in fun, adventure, and creativity. The whole ethos of this show appears to be about firing up the imagination of young viewers, and seeing two heroes being swallowed up by a purple creature certainly ticks that box.

But there is also a little moral too, with the crux of the tale focusing on powerful people helping out those in need. In this case, He-Man and Mekaneck need to remove a war droid from the creature’s belly, and they do so with speed, strength, and a determination to help where possible.

The end result is a simple tale but one which is effective. Hopefully young eyes will look at the story being presented and learn that it’s always important to do good deeds.
