Moving into the 1980s and Jeff Goldblum kick-started the decade playing Ichabod Crane in a television movie of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. From here he appeared in Threshold, and Rehearsal for Murder.

In 1983, Goldblum popped up in The Right Stuff, while in 1985 he played Jack Harrison in Transylvania 6-5000. And then in 1986, Goldblum’s star status rose considerably when he was cast to play Seth Brundle in David Cronenberg’s body horror, The Fly.

Into the 1990s and Goldblum began the decade in Mister Frost and Framed. From here he featured in movies such as The Player and Deep Cover.

Then in 1993, Goldblum appeared in another key movie in his career – Steven Spielberg’s dinosaur adventure movie, Jurassic Park. Playing the role of Dr. Ian Malcolm, Goldblum became a key component of the film.
