The Silent Hill movies

Silent Hill (2006)

As noted above, the first entry in the Silent Hill movie series was 2006’s Silent Hill. The movie focused on Rose and Christopher Da Silva and their troubled adopted daughter, Sharon.

In the movie, Sharon is suffering from disturbing nightmares of a place named Silent Hill. Unable to get to the bottom of Sharon’s problems, Rose takes her daughter to the mysterious town to uncover the truth.

Upon arrival, Rose becomes trapped in the fog-shrouded town, where she encounters a series of inhuman monsters. She also begins to piece together what is causing Sharon’s nightmares. (126 mins)

Silent Hill: Revelation (2012)

Six years after the release of Silent Hill, a sequel arrived under the title, Silent Hill: Revelation. Picking up the story with Sharon as a teen (now using the name ‘Heather’), Sharon finds herself once again haunted by nightmarish images connected to Silent Hill. (95 mins)

Return to Silent Hill (2026)

Following the release of Silent Hill: Revelation, the Silent Hill movie series went on hiatus for 14 years before being revived in 2026 with Return to Silent Hill. In this third instalment, James Sunderland is devastated after being separated from his love, but a mysterious letter leads him to the town of Silent Hill. (106 mins)
