After making his way into movies, via a number of uncredited roles in the 1940s and 1950s, Michael Caine built up a reputation as one of the most popular British actors in the movie industry. His career saw him take on various roles, in some of the most interesting films produced, with the actor working with a collection of great directors too.

Before his retirement from acting in 2023, his pictures ranged from the crime caper, The Italian Job, to the hilarious comedy, Miss Congeniality. The actor crossed genres multiple times, and built up a very loyal fan base playing roles such as Ebenezer Scrooge in The Muppet Christmas Carol and Alfred Pennyworth in The Dark Knight Trilogy.

But do you know the name of every Michael Caine film? No? Then you had best keep reading.

In this post I am taking a look back at the film career of Michael Caine, with a rundown of all his movies. I will be going through his films, decade-by-decade, to showcase all of the pictures in his back catalogue.
