In 1998, Vampires (aka John Carpenter’s Vampires) stalked its way onto cinema screens. The neo-Western horror movie – based on a novel by John Steakley – told the story of a master slayer and his efforts to rid the world of a powerful vampire.

Released to mixed reviews, Vampires was not quite a critical hit when it made its debut, but the film made enough money in ticket sales, and subsequent home video rentals, to ensure it made a profit. As such, the film was soon followed by a collection of direct-to-video sequels.

But how many Vampires movies are there and what is the correct viewing order? For all the details and more keep reading!
