Moving into the 2000s, and Theron kick-started the decade working opposite Ben Affleck in Reindeer Games, before appearing in The Yards with Mark Wahlberg, Men of Honour with Robert De Niro, and The Legend of Bagger Vance with Will Smith.

Plenty more movies followed, including another film with Wahlberg, 2003’s The Italian Job, and another with Smith, 2008’s Hancock. However, arguably Theron’s biggest role came via director Petty Jenkins’ Monster.
