In 1990, American author, Harlan Coben, published the romantic suspense-thriller, Play Dead. The novel revolved around a supermodel, who is widowed after her husband disappears under mysterious circumstances.

In the book, Laura Ayers marries Celtics star, David Baskin, and the two head off to Australia to enjoy their honeymoon in the Great Barrier Reef. But when David fails to return from a swim, Laura begins to search for the truth about what happened to him.

Upon making its debut, Play Dead was met with a warm reception from readers, leading Coben to publish his next novel, Miracle Cure which hit book shelves in 1991. From here, Deal Breaker followed in 1995, then Drop Shot and Fade Away in 1996.

More novels soon arrived, and over time Coben built up a long-running collection of mystery thrillers. Some of these books even caught the attention of the film and television industry, leading to various live-action adaptations, including Fool Me Once for Netflix, Shelter for Amazon Prime Video, and The Five for Sky.

But if you’re not familiar with Harlan Coben, you might be asking yourself about his long, back-catalogue of novels. What are they, how many are there, and what is the publishing order?
