If you’re a fan of psychological drama and you have a subscription to Netflix, then British true crime drama-thriller, Baby Reindeer will have certainly caught your attention. The seven-part television series, created by and starring Richard Gadd, tells the real-life story of Gadd’s terrifying encounter with a stalker.
In the series, Gadd plays Donny, a wannabe comedian who is working as a bar man to make ends meet. One day, while he’s working at the pub, a middle-aged woman named Martha walks in and starts up a conversation over a cup of tea.
Over the coming days, Martha returns to the pub and she and Donny share friendly exchanges. However, these exchanges mean far more to Martha than Donny initially realises, and soon she begins to obsess over him with worrying repercussions.

If you found Baby Reindeer to be riveting and frankly quite frightening stuff, then you’re not alone. The series tells a very captivating tale, which gets increasingly darker as it develops, and it is a truly compelling piece of media.
However, Baby Reindeer isn’t the only story about stalkers. The film industry has touched upon this subject a number of times, serving up some depraved pictures in the process.
