In 1981, Jim Carrey made his film debut via the Canadian TV movie, Introducing… Janet (aka Rubberface). The film told the story of a school girl who becomes friends with a stand-up comedian who is struggling with his career.
From here, Carrey continued his film acting with appearances in movies such as Finders Keepers, Peggy Sue Got Married, and the Dirty Harry movie, The Dead Pool. Some of his work involved minor appearances, other projects saw him take on a more substantial role, but he was far from a household name.
However, things soon changed when Carrey starred in three movies in 1994: Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mask, and Dumb and Dumber. These three titles helped to launch Carrey’s career into the stratosphere, changing his life forever.
Moving forward, Carrey starred in a succession of top movies including Batman Forever, The Truman Show, and Bruce Almighty. He also took on the role of computer game villain, Dr. Robotnik for a series of Sonic the Hedgehog films.
But how familiar are you with Jim Carrey’s back catalogue of movies? If you were asked to run off a list of all his films, what would you say?
Well, don’t worry, because I can help. In this post you will find a list of all of Jim Carrey’s movies, starting with minor roles in his early pictures, and running through to more substantial parts in later life.
