A bit of news for all you horror fans out there.
Vertigo Releasing has announced new horror drama It Lives Inside will be having its UK premiere at this year’s FrightFest on August 25th. The movie will then head into UK Cinemas from September 22nd.
In the new movie, an Indian-American teenager struggling with her cultural identity has a falling out with her former best friend. In the process, she unwittingly releases a demonic entity that grows stronger by feeding on her loneliness.

It Lives Inside stars Megan Suri (Atypical), as protagonist Samidha, who is most well-known for her role as Aneesa in Netflix teen-comedy series Never Have I Ever. The horror also stars Neeru Bajwa (Jatt & Juliet), and Mohana Krishnan (I Am Frankie).
It Lives Inside had its European premiere at Neuchatel IFFF, before going onto to SXSW where it won the “Midnighters Award”. The film was also screened at The Overlook FF (New Orleans, USA), Calgary Underground FF (Canada), Fantasia (Montreal) and BlackStar (Philadelphia), and director/co-writer Bishal Dutta appeared at Comic Con for a panel on horror.
