American actor, Chris Pine, is one of the most popular faces in Hollywood. Thanks to his likeable screen presence, as well as his dedication to his acting roles, he has built up a strong portfolio of films and countless fans too.

In this post I am taking a look back at Pine’s film portfolio with a rundown of all his movies. I will be going through his film career, decade-by-decade, to showcase all of the pictures he has starred in, dating back to the early 2000s.

Pine began his acting career in the early 2000s, initially through television shows, including ER and CSI: Miami. From here he then moved across to movies in 2004, with his big screen debut being the role of Nicholas Devereaux in Disney sequel, The Princess Diaries 2.
Other film roles soon followed, with movies including Deadly Secrets, The Bulls, and Just My Luck. All of these roles helped the actor increase his on-screen profile, but none of the parts thrust him into the spotlight.
But then, just as the decade was coming to an end, Pine took on the role of Captain Kirk in Star Trek – a reboot of the popular sci-fi franchise. This significant piece of casting instantly propelled Pine to super-stardom, transformed him into a household name (pretty much over night), and ensured he ended the ’00s on a high!

Films during this period included Unstoppable, This Means War, and People Like Us. In 2012 he provided voice over duties for the superb animated movie, Rise of the Guardians, while in 2014 he took on the part of Jack Ryan for the movie, Shadow Recruit.
It was during the 2010s that Pine also returned to the world of Star Trek – not once, but twice, for Star Trek Into Darkness, and Star Trek Beyond. He also appeared in 2017’s smash-hit comic book movie Wonder Woman, and provided the voice of Peter Parker in animated film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
