The First Wedding Veil trilogy

The first The Wedding Veil trilogy (The Wedding Veil, The Wedding Veil Unveiled, and The Wedding Veil Legacy) was presented as one continuous story with a tale focusing on three close friends: Avery, Emma, and Tracy. In the movies, it is made clear Avery, Emma, and Tracy have known one another since college, and although they no longer live near each other, they regularly meet up.
During one of their ‘meet-ups’, the trio stumble upon an antique wedding veil. But as the friends soon learn, this is no ordinary veil; as it has the power to lead them toward their one true love.
Over the course of the first three movies, the friends find themselves discovering plenty of romance and a great deal of happiness as they meet up with potential soul mates, but do they all find love? Well, those answers lie in the trilogy itself.
Ahead of the broadcast of each movie, Hallmark released details about the three films to provide a few important story beats. So, if you’ve not had chance to check out the films yet, here are a few details about each entry in the first Wedding Veil trilogy.
The first Wedding Veil trilogy: The Wedding Veil, The Wedding Veil Unveiled, and The Wedding Veil Legacy

The first movie to air in the original Wedding Veil trilogy was The Wedding Veil, which hit screens on January 8th 2022. If you did not watch the movie when it originally aired, here is the description of The Wedding Veil:
“Avery (Lacey Chabert), Emma (Autumn Reeser) and Tracy (Alison Sweeney) are three close, but far-flung college friends who reunite in different cities every year to go antiquing. During a visit to San Francisco, they discover an extraordinary, antique lace wedding veil with a legend – it is said that whoever possesses the veil will find their true love.
“The friends agree to purchase the veil together and pass it along to each other to test whether or not the legend is true. Romantic, curator Avery is the first to take possession and very soon after meets a handsome stranger, Peter (Kevin McGarry).
“As they spend a carefree day together at a local museum, they share some uncanny coincidences that have Avery wondering if it’s fate. When a misunderstanding leads Peter to give her the cold-shoulder, Avery resolves to put him out of her mind… only for him to show up at her job back in Boston.
“It turns out that Peter is from a very well-known philanthropic family and the newest board member at the museum where she works. When they uncover a long-lost painting from a 19th century Italian master, Peter works closely with Avery on a special gala to unveil its restoration. As the project brings the pair closer and they start to clear the air, they find the coincidences they share just might be the veil, working its magic.”

Following the debut of The Wedding Veil, the second instalment of the movie trilogy aired on February 12th 2022. Here is a description of The Wedding Veil Unveiled:
“A few months after Avery’s (Chabert) wedding, Chicago-based professor Emma (Reeser) travels to Italy to teach the history of American art. While there, she uses her free time to research the provenance of the veil, which leads her to the colorful island town of Burano, famed for its exquisitely handcrafted lace.
“On her way to the island she encounters a handsome man (Paolo Bernardini) who offers help but Emma – still processing the end of a long-distance relationship – declines. Her search leads to the oldest shop on the island, where the owner responds exuberantly to the veil.
“Emma doesn’t understand Italian but thankfully, the man she met earlier shows up and can translate. She learns his name is Paolo and his grandmother is the shop owner. He explains that the veil shares a special connection to his family, who had thought it destroyed.
“Paolo and Emma decide to work together to unravel the century-old mystery of how the long-lost veil made its way from Italy to a shop in San Francisco. As they spend time together and Paolo helps Emma to let go and embrace the beauty of Italy, they begin falling for each other. As Emma prepares to return to Chicago, she isn’t sure she can handle another long-distance relationship, but the veil and its legend may have other plans.”

The final movie in the first Wedding Veil trilogy aired on February 19th 2022. Here is the description for The Wedding Veil Legacy:
“Though happy for her newlywed best friends, Tracy is still sceptical of the wedding veil’s legend – especially when her long-time relationship ends after her boyfriend wants her to leave her beloved New York City for his new dream job in Los Angeles. While at the tailor to have repairs made to the veil, Tracy meets Nick (Webster).
“Later, they serendipitously run in to each other at Nick’s family restaurant and Tracy agrees to hire him to cater the upcoming 25th anniversary gala of the auction house where she works. When the auction house obtains a handwritten original draft of Emma Lazarus’ poem, The New Colossus, she seeks a donor to help get it placed in a museum.
“Nick’s great-grandmother revered the poem when she immigrated from Italy and helps Tracy in her quest. Meanwhile, Nick decides to take the leap from the traditional Italian restaurant he shares with his sister to open one of his own.
“As Tracy spends more time with Nick, she realizes she’s falling for him but isn’t quite ready yet. Is it possible that the veil is losing its magic and won’t lead Tracy to her true love?”

The Second Wedding Veil trilogy

As noted above, due to the popularity of the original Wedding Veil trilogy, Hallmark set to work on a second trio of movies, to continue the stories of the central characters. Reuniting the actresses from the first trilogy, this new collection of films picked up the story a short while later, to explain what happened next.
Once again, ahead of the broadcast of each movie, Hallmark released details about each individual entry in the trilogy. Here are all the details…

The second Wedding Veil trilogy: The Wedding Veil Expectations, The Wedding Veil Inspiration, and The Wedding Veil Journey

The first movie to air in the second Wedding Veil trilogy was The Wedding Veil Expectations. The movie debuted on January 7th 2023.
The description for this film reads: In the first movie of this sequel trilogy, Avery and her husband Peter are in the midst of renovating the old house they’ve purchased, which is proving to be a bigger undertaking than they anticipated. Avery has some exciting news to share with him, but is waiting for just the right moment.
“Meanwhile, Avery’s mother-in-law, Grace, reconnects with a former beau, and Peter has concerns. Between that, the pitfalls of re-modelling and navigating the politics of having a new boss at the museum, Avery is lucky to have Emma and Tracy, who offer support from afar as well as in person when they decide a video chat won’t suffice.
“When newlywed Tracy returns the antique wedding veil to Emma, the friends may find that they haven’t seen the last of its magic.”

The second movie to air in the second Wedding Veil trilogy was The Wedding Veil Inspiration. This movie aired on January 14th 2023.
The description reads: In the second movie of this sequel trilogy, Emma is teaching and working hard to prove she can step into the department chair role, as Paolo’s lace shop is about to open. On track for her life plan, Emma feels strongly that things fall into place before she and Paolo grow their family.
“As the couple navigates their busy work schedules and finding the perfect time, Emma bumps heads with the current chair of her department and starts questioning her life choices. With support from Paolo –- and perhaps a little help from the veil — will Emma find the courage to stop planning her life and start living it?

The third and final movie in the second Wedding Veil trilogy was The Wedding Journey. This movie debuted on January 21st 2023.
The description for this movie reads as follows: In the third movie of the sequel trilogy, Tracy is now head of the auction house and Nick’s restaurant is such a success, he’s looking at expanding. Their success comes at a cost, however, as it gives them little time to see each other.
“The couple agree to make time for their long overdue honeymoon. They head to Greece as it’s the perfect place to relax and sightsee.
“When a travel delay costs the couple their hotel room, they get the opportunity to stay on a remote island nearby. Is it possible the veil is once again working its magic and bringing them exactly where they need to be?”
