In 1993, Sonic the Hedgehog, raced his way onto television screens. The iconic gaming character, who made his debut on the Sega Genesis / Sega Mega Drive, was given his own animated television show in order to broaden his appeal beyond the games.
The show was titled Adventures of Sonic and followed Sonic’s ongoing battles with the evil Doctor Robotnik. The series ran for 65 episodes and focused on a light-hearted take on the character, complete with goofs and gags.
