Calling all horror fans, and those who have a thing for werewolf movies, you may be interested to know that the 1981 film, The Howling, is getting a new home video release. The film is being restored and released in 4K to celebrate its 40th anniversary.
StudioCanal is behind the forthcoming box set, which brings the Patrick Macnee and Dee Wallace-starring horror flick to homes. And for those who are clawing at your screens to know what’s inside, I can tell you that the boxset includes a mix of discs, special features, and added extras, all housed in a swish-looking case.
The three-disc release includes a 4K UHD, a Blu-ray, and a DVD. Amongst the discs is a collection of special features which include: an all-new Inside the Career of Joe Dante retrospective, a Welcome to Werewolfland featurette, a set of deleted scenes, and a collection of outtakes.
The boxset also includes five art cards, as well as a 20-page booklet containing the original press kit for The Howling, new stills, and an essay on the movie.
If all of this seems like a monster hit to you, then you can find The Howling 40th Anniversary 4K Ultimate Collector’s Edition Boxset in all good entertainment stockists, including Amazon UK, from October 25th 2021.
