In 1950, Walt Disney’s Cinderella danced its way into cinemas. The animated fairy tale, told the story of a young, put-upon girl who is briefly given the chance to break away from the difficulties in her life to attend a ball.
Cinderella was well received by audiences and became one of Disney’s best-loved pictures. And although it existed as a stand-alone feature for many years after its release, it was eventually accompanied by sequels, as well as a live-action remake.

The order of the Disney Cinderella movies

To date, there are four entries in the Disney Cinderella movie series. The films include:
- Cinderella (1950)
- Cinderella II: Dreams Come True (2002)
- Cinderella III: A Twist in Time (2007)
- Cinderella (2015)
In addition to the above movies, Cinderella has also cameoed in the Disney-Pixar movie, Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018). She appears briefly in the movie alongside various Disney princesses.

Hang on a minute… what about the other Cinderella movies, such as Ever After or Ella Enchanted? Shouldn’t these be on the above list?

Over the years there have been many, many adaptations of the classic Cinderella story. Some of the most notable adaptations have included Ever After (1998) and Ella Enchanted (2004), as well as all of the movies in the ‘A Cinderella Story’ series.
The reason that these movies (as well as many others) are not included on the list above is because they are not Disney movies. This post covers Disney Cinderella movies only, NOT movies produced by other studios (even if those studios are now part of the Disney portfolio).
