  • On December 8th 2017, The Greatest Showman received its premiere aboard the RMS Queen Mary 2. The film arrived in US screens two weeks later on December 20th 2017.
  • Hugh Jackman was announced as the star of The Greatest Showman way back in 2009. Yep, it took a long time for the project to reach fruition.

  • During its theatrical run, The Greatest Showman took $434,993,183 million at the worldwide box office, with over $174 million coming from US audiences.
  • The second most profitable territory outside of the US was the UK, where audiences brought in more than $62 million to The Greatest Showman’s box office total.
  • Unlike the majority of modern movies, which have short theatrical runs, The Greatest Showman remained in cinemas for a long period of time. In the UK, the film remained in cinemas for over seven months.
  • In December 2018, a few months after it officially finished its theatrical run, The Greatest Showman returned to cinema screens for a limited sing-a-long screening.

  • As well as the box office success of The Greatest Showman, the accompanying soundtrack album also proved popular, topping the iTunes chart in more than 77 countries. In the UK, the album spent 28 weeks in the No.1 spot of the official album chart, and 105 weeks in the Top 100.
  • The Greatest Showman won multiple awards, including Best Original Song at the Golden Globe Awards 2018 (for This is Me) and Best Soundtrack at the Classic Brit Awards 2018.
