How much did The Rise of Skywalker cost to make?

The Rise of Skywalker only cost $275 million to make. I say “only”, when clearly $275 million is a lot of money.
However, when compared to the billion The Rise of Skywalker made at the box office, $275 million suddenly doesn’t seem so much. In the US, The Rise of Skywalker more than covered the cost of its budget, and what it took internationally was just a bonus.

Is The Rise of Skywalker the most successful Star Wars movie?

Although The Rise of Skywalker made a lot of cash, it couldn’t quite match the fortunes of the two previous entries in the saga: The Force Awakens (2015) and The Last Jedi (2017).
The totals for these two films is as follows:
- The Force Awakens – $2,068,223,624
- The Last Jedi – $1,332,539,889
Collectively, the ‘sequel’ trilogy (2015 – 2019) made a whopping $4,474,907,761. This was from a combined trilogy budget of around $900 million.
Not bad going, is it?
