Remember the beginning of the month, when Paramount Pictures released that GOSH DARN AWFUL trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog? You know the one – the trailer guaranteed to give kids (and big kids) nightmares for weeks?
Here it is (to jog your memory).
Then remember how much everyone hated it and how director Jeff Fowler had to put out an announcement on Twitter that said: “The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be… #Sonicmovie #Gottafixfast”
Remember all that?
Well, true to their words, Fowler and Paramount are fixing the problem BUT it’s going to take quite some time to fix, which is why Sonic the Hedgehog is no longer heading to cinema screens this November. The movie has now been pushed back to Valentine’s Day 2020.
Taking to Twitter once again, Fowler said: “Taking a little more time to make Sonic just right.”
So, if you really want to see the Sonic movie, you’re going to have to wait until next year I’m afraid. Or possibly even longer if they decide to simply scrap the whole thing.
