Lots of movie news coming up tonight and it’s all courtesy of the Mouse House. First up… Star Wars.

Disney has revealed the release dates for the next set of Star Wars movies – and it’s sooner than expected.

Remember how Disney/Lucasfilm said it was taking a little break from Star Wars, once The Rise of Skywalker hits cinema screens this December? Yeah, that break really won’t be long.

According to Sky News (and various other media outlets), we can expect a new trilogy of Star Wars movies beginning in December 2022 and continuing December 2024 and 2026.

No news on what these Star Wars movies will be about, but it’s likely they will be separate from the Skywalker Saga.

What’s perhaps even more interesting is that Disney plans to alternate these Star Wars movies with Avatar sequels beginning in December 2021 and continuing in 2023 and 2025. Yep, that’s Avatar 2, 3 and 4.
