Earlier in the week Paramount Pictures dropped the first official trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog. The internet took one look and… well… hated it.

The character design of Sonic looked bad. Very, very bad.

The feedback was not quite what Paramount or director Jeff Fowler would have liked. However, they did pay attention to the response and are now set to address the look of Sonic, by giving him a makeover.

Taking to Twitter, Fowler said: “Thank you for the support. And the criticism. The message is loud and clear… you aren’t happy with the design & you want changes. It’s going to happen. Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be… #Sonicmovie #Gottafixfast”

So, how fast will the film makers have to be to ‘fix’ Sonic?

Sonic the hedgehog hits cinema screens in November and as he is the title character he is likely to be in a huge amount of the movie. That’s a lot of work in the next six months.

For those who missed it the first time, here’s that trailer again…
