A Love, Simon spin-off television series is being developed for Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+.

The series will be set within the Love, Simon world and will be based around the book Leah on the Offbeat, by Becky Albertalli – the sequel to Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda, the book on which Love, Simon was based.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elizabeth Berger and Isaac Aptaker will be the showrunners, ushering in a new cast. Love, Simon director, Greg Berlanti will not be involved.

Released in 2018, the GLAAD Award winning Love, Simon was originally released by 20th Century Fox, but is now part of the Disney portfolio.
