The Big Bang Theory is coming to an end.

The long-running show will air one final season – the 12th season – which kicks off in September. The season will run until May 2019, when the final episode will hit screens.

According to the BBC, the show regularly attracts audiences of 18 million+ in the US. It’s most recent season on CBS attracted more viewers than any other show.

A joint statement from CBS and the TBBT production team, said:

“We, along with the cast, writers and crew, are extremely appreciative of the show’s success and aim to deliver a final season, and series finale, that will bring The Big Bang Theory to an epic creative close.”

So, will you be sad to see The Big Bang Theory go or do you think it’s the correct time to bring the show to a close?

I guess, thanks to reruns, streaming services and the like, nothing’s ever really gone. I expect The Big Bang Theory to be forever in rotation on one TV channel/streaming platform or another.
