Actor Ben Whishaw has confirmed he’d be up for more Paddington movies, if the chance arose.

The actor – who has voiced Paddington in two big screen adventures – recently told Entertainment Weekly that he “absolutely love(s) doing Paddington.” He said: “It takes a lot of time, and each time I’ve done it, it’s taken the better part of a year. But… I would love to do another one.”

Anyone who has yet to watch Paddington (2014) or Paddington 2 (2017) is urged (by me) to watch the movies, as both are delightful.

Want more of a reason? Well, Paddington currently has a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while the sequel has an impressive Rotten Tomato rating of 100%!

So, what is the likelihood that we’ll get a third Paddington movie any time soon?

Well, according to Whishaw, director Paul King is the key to the series’ success and at present, he’s rather busy. Without King, Whishaw will hold off from reprising the role.

“I can’t imagine what it would be like without him, so I think it’s really down to whether he wants to or not,” he said.

Fingers crossed King will get some free time in the not-too distant future then.
