A couple of hours ago, 20th Century Fox released a new trailer for forthcoming sci-fi/horror movie, The Predator. This new trailer not only offered a greater insight into the movie, it also made it look pretty damn good too!
Oh the difference a second trailer can make.
When the first trailer for The Predator dropped in early May I wasn’t impressed. A short while later, I saw the trailer again – this time on the big screen during a screening of Deadpool 2 – and I felt that it was worse than I recalled.
To put it simply, that initial trailer did nothing for me I felt that if this was a snapshot of the final product then The Predator was going to be a pretty pedestrian movie at best. At worst I figured it would be a total dumpster fire.
Thankfully Fox has restored my faith in this project with the release of this new, more adult-orientated trailer, which shows there’s a lot more going on in this movie than it first appeared.
Of course, this trailer may not be completely representative of the final product and it may still be more like the movie glimpsed in the first trailer than in this one, but for now I’m on board. Hopefully future trailers won’t dissuade me from this more positive stance.
What do you think?
Do you think The Predator looks good? And has this second trailer sold you on the movie? Sound off in the comments section below.

Definitely an improvement over the first trailer! Was in the same boat as you with the first one. I remember saying “something about it felt like a made for tv film on the Sci-Fi channel.” This trailer makes me feel a little bit better.

Totally. That first trailer just screamed BAD. This one looks pretty cool. I love the original Predator, but much like the Robocop movies I feel like they get progressively worse. This new trailer makes me feel like maybe this will buck the trend.
