Paramount Pictures has a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie in the pipeline.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio is working on a new TMNT movie, with Andrew Dodge penning the script. Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller will produce the movie under their Platinum Dunes production company.

The new film is not likely to be a sequel to the most recent Turtles movies, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016). Expect another reboot.

To date, there have been seven TMNT movies: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1990), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Secret of the Ooze (1991), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993), TMNT (2007), Turtles Forever (2009) and the aforementioned Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016). In addition, the TMNT property – which started life as a comic book – has spawned four animated shows, a live-action TV series and a HECK OF A LOT of merchandise.
