I never thought I’d be interested in another Transformers movie, but as previously discussed on It’s A Stampede!, the new TF spin-off movie, Bumblebee, has me intrigued. What’s more, with each additional bit of information I see about the film I get a little more excited.

Case in point, this latest Bumblebee featurette (see below) that was shared last night by Paramount Pictures. Sure, it’s your typical short bit of PR fluff, but this featurette combined with the trailer is really doing the right job to convince me to go see this movie.

If you’re not familiar with Bumblebee director Travis Knight, then you may like to know that he previously wrote, produced and directed the 2016 movie, Kubo and the Two Strings and was an animator on Coraline (2009) and ParaNorman (2012). Sure, he’s not got lots of directorial experience, but the movies he’s been involved with so far have all been critical successes.

As a former animator, Knight looks at the intricate aspects of a character and helps bring them to life on the big screen. I feel like this is the kind of person who should be in charge of a movie about a robot – so let’s hope it pays off.

Bumblebee hits cinema screens at Christmas. Here’s the trailer again, if you missed it first time around…
