It’s been a strange day for news today, with stories ranging from another departure on The Walking Dead and the arrival of the Suspiria trailer to news about Legally Blonde 3 and a Polly Pocket revival.
Well, now I have yet more news, this time focusing on legendary singer, Dolly Parton. I told you it was an unusual day for news.
The singer – famous for songs including I Will Always Love You and Jolene – is heading to Netflix! Warner Bros. Television is to produce an eight-episode series about Dolly’s music with each episode focusing on a different song.
In a statement, Dolly said: “As a songwriter, I have always enjoyed telling stories through my music. I am thrilled to be bringing some of my favourite songs to life with Netflix. We hope our show will inspire and entertain families and folks of all generations, and I want to thank the good folks at Netflix and Warner Bros. TV for their incredible support.”
The series will stream on Netflix in 2019.
