Great news – DC Comics is to release more Looney Tunes/DC mash-up comics!
The one-shot specials will feature the likes of Daffy Duck, Lex Luthor and Porky Pig and will be released this summer. As with previous Looney Tunes/DC books, the comics will take one classic Warner Bros. star and one iconic DC character (in this case a DC villain) and will mix them together for a dose of fun.
Four books are in the works (details below), with each priced at $4.99. The one-shots will run 48-pages in length and will include one main story and a back-up strip.
The books are: The Joker/Daffy Duck Special #1, Harley Quinn/Gossamer Special #1 (above), Catwoman/Tweety and Sylvester Special #1 and Lex Luthor/Porky Pig Special #1 (below).
- The Joker/Daffy Duck Special #1 is written by Scott Lobdell and features art from Brett Booth and Norm Rapmund. The back-up story is from Joey Cavalieri and Luciano Vechhio.
- Harley Quinn/Gossamer Special #1 is written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner, with art by Pier Brito. The back-up story is by Sholly Fisch and Dave Alvarez.
- Catwoman/Tweety and Sylvester Special #1 is written by Gail Simone, with art by Inaki Miranda. The back-up story for this one is by Shea Fontana and Walter Carzon.
- Lex Luthor/Porky Pig Special #1 is by Mark Russell and artists Brad Walker and Andrew Hennessy. The back-up story is by Jim Fanning and John Loter.
The DC/Looney Tunes one-shot specials will be available from Wednesday August 29th via comic shops and digital stores. Oh and just a ‘heads-up’, the Batman/Elmer Fudd one-shot from the last collection of Looney Tunes/DC mash-ups proved VERY popular, so make sure you get in quick with these, just in case history repeats itself.
