Remember the Sylvester Stallone/Arnold Schwarzenegger team-up movie, Escape Plan (2013)? Remember how there was talk of a sequel?
Well, a sequel has been made and more importantly, it’s almost upon us!
Didn’t realise? Well, that’s because this movie is bypassing the cinema and is heading straight to Blu-ray.
Oh… you suddenly seem less excited.
Well the good news is that Stallone is back! The bad news is that Schwarzenegger is not. However, this one has Dave Bautista in it, so that’s good, right?
Escape Plan 2: Hades is due out in June from Lionsgate. Here’s the trailer…

Is that quite normal that some films go straight to blu-ray ?

Traditionally if a movie went direct to video it was a bad sign. In a lot of cases it still is, but a few movies skip the cinema nowadays and go direct to Blu-ray of streaming. The last two Chucky movies went straight to DVD and were great.
