It’s official – Avengers: Infinity War has passed the $1 billion mark at the worldwide box office.
The movie – which has been on release for just under two weeks – has now taken more than $1 billion in movie receipts. The film achieved this feat within 11 days, beating previous record holder, Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015) which achieved the same result within 12 days.
As previously mentioned, Infinity War received a boost this weekend, with some audiences seeing the movie for the first time and with other audiences now on a repeat performance. Next weekend the movie will get yet another boost when the film opens in China – one of the most profitable markets in the world.
Anyone want to predict what Avengers: Infinity War‘s final box office total will be? Anyone?
