The next Terminator movie – the 6th entry in the long-running film series – has found its lead. And no, it’s not Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Actor Gabriel Luna is reportedly set to take on the role of the Terminator in the as-yet-untitled sequel/reboot. According to Deadline, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D star will take on the part in director Tim Miller’s forthcoming movie.
Luna will star alongside Natalia Reyes, Diego Boneto, Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger, working from a script by Tim Miller and James Cameron. Cameron is also on board as a producer.
Although this latest entry in The Terminator series is the 6th film overall, this new film is being touted as a sequel to Terminator 2: Judgement Day (1991), so will ignore movies three to five. The film is due to hit cinema screens in November 2019.
