The Greatest Showman is officially the third most successful musical at the North American box office.

The film – which has demonstrated tremendous staying power at UK cinemas – has now surpassed Chicago (2002) in the US to become financially the third most successful musical of all-time. With a domestic take of $172,961,890, The Greatest Showman now sits behind Grease (1978) at No.2 and Beauty and the Beast (2017) at No.1 in the musicals chart.

To date, The Greatest Showman has taken $420,271,096 at the worldwide box office. As previously reported, this total includes $56,744,287 coming from UK audiences.

The Greatest Showman is now available to buy on Blu-ray, DVD & digital in the US. The movie receives its UK Blu-ray, DVD & digital release in May.
