Prepare to be shocked, because a new Killer Tomatoes movie is imminent!
Thirty-five years after the release of the fourth entry in the franchise, 1991’s Killer Tomatoes Eat France, those freakish fruit are back for a fifth film. The movie is titled Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence!
The new movie features a cast which includes David Koechner, Dan Bakkedahl, Daniel Roebuck, Catherine Corcoran, Vernee Watson, Myrna Velasco, Noor Razooky, Samantha Bailey, Erik Allan Cramer, David Brown, Joshua Poon and Eric Roberts. Dan Bakkedahl is taking on the role of Finletter, while Zachary Roozen is Chad, and Paul Bates is playing Sam.

Series stalwart, John Astin is also back, reprising his role of Professor Gangreen. Astin previously played Gangreen in Return of the Killer Tomatoes, The Killer Tomatoes Strike Back, and The Killer Tomatoes Eat France, as well as the ‘90s animated show.
As for the story, a press release which was put out in 2025 teasing the movie said: “Hide your ketchup packets … and your robots. Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence pits the eternal power of nature against A.I.’s best and brightest.”
David Ferino is on director duties for this fifth Killer Tomatoes movie. Meanwhile, Anchor Bay Entertainment is handling distribution.
Commenting on the film, Thomas Zambeck, CEO of Anchor Bay, said: “We’re proud to be bringing back a franchise with this much cultural DNA.
“Organic Intelligence is fresh, funny, weird, and self-aware — just the kind of beautifully chaotic project that fits our mission.
“Killer Tomatoes are ripe for reinvention.”
There’s no word yet on when Attack of the Killer Tomatoes: Organic Intelligence will receive a wide release, but the film is set to premiere this month as part of a one-night fundraising event in collaboration with the USS Midway Museum. The screening will take place on February 20th in the US.
