Museum of Innocence

First up this week is the Turkish Netflix limited series, Museum of Innocence. Based on the 2008 novel The Museum of Innocence by Turkish Nobel-laureate, Orhan Pamuk, the series tells the story of a wealthy businessman who finds himself attracted to his poor, distant relation.
Describing the show, Netflix said: “The Museum of Innocence tells the tempestuous story of Kemal, who comes from one of Istanbul’s wealthiest families, and his poor and distant young relation Füsun – beginning in the 1970s. Kemal, who is willing to take on the whole world for the sake of his feelings, starts collecting his beloved’s earrings, her hair clips, and even her discarded cigarette butts.
“What is love? An obsession, an affliction, an accident that derails the course of our life; or a great and innocent happiness?”
Should you wish to discover the answer to all these questions (and more), Museum of Innocence is available to stream on Netflix from February 13th.

The Art of Sarah

Next up is the South Korean limited drama series, The Art of Sarah. Described as a mystery-thriller, the series “follows Sarah Kim, a woman determined to make a luxurious name for herself — even if her ambitions are built on a lie — and Mu-gyeong, the man relentlessly chasing the truth behind her vanity.”
The Art of Sarah stars Shin Hae-sun and Lee Jun-hyuk. Should you wish to take a look, The Art of Sarah is available to stream on Netflix from February 13th.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters: Season Two

Over to Apple TV now for the soon-to-be-released second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.
The first season – a spin-off of the Monsterverse – debuted back in late 2023 and starred Kurt Russell. When the new season arrives, expect new adventures, new monsters, and yep, you guessed it – more Kurt Russell!
Describing the series, Apple TV said: “Based on the Monsterverse from Legendary (Pictures), this dramatic saga – spanning three generations – reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.”
Should you wish to watch Monarch: Legacy of Monsters: Season Two, the new season is available to stream on Apple TV from February 27th.

Lead Children

And finally, back to Netflix for another limited series which is hitting screens this month. The show is the Polish drama, Lead Children.
Describing Lead Children, Netflix said: “The series tells the story of a young doctor, Jolanta Wadowska-Król, who notices that children living near the Szopienice Steelworks are massively falling ill with lead poisoning, a disease caused by heavy metal contamination. After her discovery, (Jolanta) attempts to save the sick children and confronts the oppressive communist state apparatus.”
Netflix added: “The production will transport the audience to the industrial atmosphere of Upper Silesia in the 1970s. It is here, in the realities of the working-class region, that dangerous political influences and the social mission of Dr. Wadowska-Król will intertwine.”
Should you wish to take a look, Lead Children will stream on Netflix from February 11th.
