Looking for a way to shake off the cold winter weather this post-Christmas season? Then look no further than the Hallmark Channel, which is serving up a season of ‘Winter Escape’ movies designed to warm things up a little.

One of the new movies in Hallmark’s ‘Winter Escape’ programming block is Love on the Amazon – an intriguing new offering which promises a sweltering location and a sizzling romance. Describing the new film, Hallmark said: “Claire travels to Brazil and hires Danny, a riverboat captain, to help her deliver an important message for her sister Amelia, a marine biologist studying pink dolphins on the Amazon River.”

Taking the lead in Love on the Amazon are Jaicy Elliot as Claire and Rafael de la Fuente as Danny. Elliot you will know from Grey’s Anatomy, while you will have seen de la Fuente in the likes of Dynasty and Empire, amongst other shows.

Should you wish to see the pair in action in Love on the Amazon, the new movie debuts on Saturday January 17th. Love on the Amazon airs at 8/7c.
