Do you long to watch classic cartoons from yesteryear? Love the Christmas season? Then you’d probably like nothing more than to spend the holidays knee-deep in classic Christmas cartoons – and of course, you can!

From Mickey Mouse and Yogi Bear to Charlie Brown and Tom & Jerry, there are plenty of classic-era cartoons to feast your eyes on this Christmas, and below you will find 12 of them! These are the cartoons to tuck into this holiday season.

Tweety and Sylvester – Gift Wrapped (1952)

First on the list is a festive-themed Looney Tunes short starring Tweety and Sylvester. In Gift Wrapped, Sylvester receives a rubber mouse as a Christmas gift, but quickly becomes more interested in receiving Granny’s new gift – Tweety! (7 mins)

Popeye the Sailor – Seasin’s Greetinks! (1933)

Up next is Seasin’s Greetinks – a Christmas-themed cartoon starring Popeye. In this short, Popeye is hoping to teach Olive Oyl how to skate, but his lesson is interrupted by Bluto. (6 mins)

Tom and Jerry – The Night Before Christmas (1941)

In The Night Before Christmas, festive fights take place between Tom and Jerry as they struggle to get on during the holidays. But maybe, just maybe, for one night their eternal conflict will soften. (8 mins)

The Flintstones – Christmas Flintstone (1964)

Over to Bedrock now for some Christmas fun with Fred and Barney. In Christmas Flintstone, Fred impersonates Santa Claus to help deliver presents around the world. (20 mins)

Mickey Mouse – Pluto’s Christmas Tree (1952)

Mickey and Pluto star in this next cartoon, alongside cheeky chipmunks, Chip ‘n’ Dale. In Pluto’s Christmas Tree, Mickey and Pluto cut down a tree that Chip n’ Dale live in, and the devilish duo are understandably unhappy about the situation. (7 mins)

Donald Duck – Toy Tinkers (1949)

Chip ‘n’ Dale also star in this animated short from 1949, which is set during the Christmas holidays. The story sees the Chipmunk pair attempt to steal nuts from Donald Duck, causing an all-out war in the process. (7 mins)

Peanuts – A Charlie Brown Christmas (1965)

In A Charlie Brown Christmas, Charlie finds himself depressed, despite the imminent ‘cheerful’ season. Can his friends help him out? (25 mins)

Yogi Bear – Yogi’s First Christmas (1980)

Over to Jellystone Lodge for this next cartoon classic, which stars Yogi Bear, alongside a number of Hanna-Barbera favourites, including Huckleberry Hound, Snagglepuss, Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddy. As for the story, the cartoon pals attempt to celebrate Christmas, despite a few bumps along the way. (98 mins)

Silly Symphony – Santa’s Workshop (1932)

Rewinding the clock back to 1932 now for the cartoon classic, Santa’s Workshop. In this Silly Symphony short, Santa and his elves prepare for Christmas. (7 mins)

The Smurfs – ‘Tis the Season to Be Smurfy (1987)

In ‘Tis the Season to Be Smurfy, Wild celebrates his first Christmas with the Smurfs. Meanwhile, Grandpa and Sassette set out to help an old toymaker and his wife during the festive season. (20 mins)

Mickey Mouse – Mickey’s Good Deed (1932)

Mickey Mouse takes centre stage in this next cartoon: Mickey’s Good Deed. In this ‘toon, Mickey aims to bring Christmas joy to a poor family. (8 mins)

Casper the Friendly Ghost – Casper’s First Christmas (1979)

And finally, there’s festive fun with Casper the Friendly Ghost in Casper’s First Christmas. In this story, Casper and his friend Hairy Scary cross paths with Yogi Bear, Quick Draw McGraw, and the rest of their pals at Christmas time. (30 mins)
