Udo Kier movies in order

In 1968, German born actor, Udo Kier appeared in the movie, Schamlos, taking on the role of Alexander Pohlmann. This role would be Kier’s first part in a feature-length movie, but certainly not his last.

In fact, from here he went on to have a hugely successful career in the film industry, both in Germany and in the US, appearing in movie, after movie, after movie. From Suspiria to Blade, and from Swansong to My Neighbor, Adolf, Udo Kier built up a lasting legacy of work before his death in 2025.

1960s and 1970s

As noted above, Udo Kier began his feature film career with a part in Schamlos. From here he went on to appear in movies such as La Stagione dei Sensi, Mark of the Devil, Pan, and the horror classic, Suspiria.

1980s and 1990s

Moving into the 1980s and Kier kicked off the decade in Lulu, and Narcissus and Psyche. He then appeared in movies such as The Strange Case of Doctor Jekyll and Lady Osbourne and Epidemic.

In 1991 he starred in the Keanu Reeves movie, My Own Private Idaho, then went on to appear in the Jim Carrey hit comedy, Ace Ventura. He starred alongside Keanu Reeves once again in 1995’s Johnny Mnemonic, before featuring in the Pamela Anderson comic book movie, Barb Wire.

Other notable films included Blade, as well as Armageddon. He also featured in the Arnold Schwarzenegger action film, End of Days.

Mystery Incorporated, Chuck, 4 Against Z, Masters of Horror, Justice League, Nash Bridges, and Seaquest DSV. To say he was a busy actor is an understatement.
