Adore classic cartoons from yesteryear? Love Thanksgiving? Then you’d probably like nothing more than to spend the holidays knee-deep in classic Thanksgiving cartoon specials – and of course, you can!

From Garfield and Charlie Brown to Winnie the Pooh and Popeye, there are plenty of classic-era cartoons to feast your eyes on this Thanksgiving, and below you will find 13 of them! These are the cartoon specials to tuck into this Thanksgiving season.

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (1973)

First up is the beloved 1973 animated special, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. In this ‘toon, as Charlie prepares to go to his grandmother’s for Thanksgiving dinner, his friends soon invite themselves over. (25 mins)

Garfield’s Thanksgiving (1989)

Next up is the 1989 special, Garfield’s Thanksgiving. In this cartoon, Garfield is facing the prospect of being put on a diet during one of the most food-centric times of the year – Thanksgiving! (24 mins)

The Huckleberry Hound Show – Grim Pilgrim: Season Two, Episode Two (1959)

In this Thanksgiving-themed episode of The Huckleberry Hound Show, Pilgrim Huckleberry Hound stalks a turkey with his musket! (7 mins)

Intergalactic Thanksgiving (1979)

In Intergalactic Thanksgiving (aka Please Don’t Eat The Planet), farmers and aliens attempt to find common ground after a serious ecological accident takes place. (23 mins)

Tom and Jerry – The Little Orphan (1949)

In this Tom and Jerry short, Nibbles the mouse arrives at Jerry’s door looking for Thanksgiving dinner. But with Jerry’s cupboards empty, it looks like he’ll need to look elsewhere for food. (8 mins)

Animaniacs – Turkey Jerky: Season One, Episode Forty-Six (1993)

In Turkey Jery, after the Pilgrims arrive on Plymouth Rock, Myles Standish announces he will hunt down a turkey for dinner. However, he finds himself having to contend with the Warners. (10 mins)

Calvin and the Colonel – Thanksgiving Dinner: Season One, Episode Three (1961)

In Thanksgiving Dinner, The Colonel has to find Thanksgiving food for his family, after he invited them for dinner the previous year. (30 mins)

The Care Bears – Grams Bear’s Thanksgiving Surprise: Season One, Episode Eleven (1986)
