In 1938, actress June Lockhart kick-started what would become an extensive acting career with a role in a movie adaptation of Charles Dickens’, A Christmas Carol. For the film, Lockhart took on the uncredited part of Belinda Cratchit.

From here, Lockhart appeared in All This, and Heaven Too, as well as Adam Had Four Sons, and Sergeant York. This in turn led to more acting work, as Lockhart balanced both movie and television projects.

In fact, Lockhart was such a hardworking actress, that when she wasn’t on film, it was largely because she was shooting a television show. In the time she was active – 1938 to 2021 – she barely stopped, clocking up an impressive portfolio in the process.

Before her death in 2025, Lockhart clocked up more than 170 acting credits. Below you will find a run-through of all her films, as well as a brief discussion highlighting some of her television work.
