Casper’s Halloween Special (1979)

First up in Casper’s Halloween Special from the late 1970s, Casper the friendly ghost attempts to pass himself off as a human child, so he can go trick or treating. Unfortunately things don’t quite go to plan. (25 mins)

Garfield’s Halloween Adventure (1985)

Over to 1985 now for Garfield’s Halloween Adventure. In this delightful ‘toon Garfield and Odie head out to do some trick-or-treating, but they end up at a haunted house. (24 mins)

Halloween is Grinch Night (1977)

If you think the Grinch only comes out at Christmas you’re mistaken, because in 1977 he also fronted a Halloween special: Halloween is Grinch Night. Not as well remembered, but equally as enjoyable, this is a bit of fun for the spooky season. (25 mins)

It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (1966)

And now onto a stone-cold classic which most people of a certain age remember: It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. In this iconic special, the Peanuts gang celebrate Halloween while Linus waits for the Great Pumpkin to arrive. (25 mins)

The Jetsons Haunted Halloween (1985)

In this seasonal episode of The Jetsons cartoon series, Dr. Scarum, of Scarem’s Costume Shop and Waxie, takes a special interest in Orbitty. Seasonal hijinks ensue. (20 mins)

Pac-Man Halloween Special (1982)

Originally aired in 1982, the Pac-Man Halloween Special is technically two episodes of the classic ‘80s Pac-Man cartoon spliced together. The first is ‘Pacula’, while the second is ‘Trick or Chomp’. (25 mins)
