This holiday season, Hallmark viewers are being treated to a wealth of new movies and television shows, as part of Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas 2025. From reality shows such as Finding Mr. Christmas and Baked with Love: Holiday, to films such as She’s Making a List and A Make or Break Holiday.

Popping up amongst all of the Christmas-themed fun is the mini-series, Twelve Dates ‘Til Christmas. Starring Mae Whitman, Julian Morris, Jane Seymour, Mary McDonnell, Toby Sandeman, and Nathaniel Parker, the series follows the story of a textile pattern designer who finds herself signed up to a matchmaking program.

In the movie, Whitman takes on the role of talented Saville Row designer, Kate, who lives in the quaint village of Blexford, England. When not busy working, Kate spends her time looking after her father, Mac, who is recovering from an accident.

But what Kate doesn’t know is her best friend, Laura signs her up to a holiday-themed matchmaking program, titled ‘The 12 Dates of Christmas’. Laura believes Kate is stuck in a rut, and this could get her out.

Describing the series, Hallmark said: “Lovingly coerced by Laura and long-time best friend Callum, a reluctant Kate ultimately gets into the spirit of the program and is caught off guard when she meets someone who reinvigorates her zest for life. But when (Kate’s mother) Delilah unexpectedly shows up on her doorstep – literally – Kate and Mac’s life and holiday season get upended.

“Meanwhile, Mac may be embarking on his own romance with local Evelyn, a widow who slowly helps him step outside the confines of his house and open his heart. As Kate wends her way through the 12 dates, she takes a circuitous route to romance while also making some important discoveries about herself.”

Should you wish to check out Twelve Dates ‘Til Christmas, the series airs from Friday December 5th. Hallmark will air new episodes each week until the series finale on Friday December 19th.
