As part of this year’s Countdown to Christmas, Hallmark has unveiled details about a wealth of new movies. One of these new films is A Newport Christmas, starring Ginna Claire Mason and Wes Brown.
The film will air this November on Hallmark Channel. The movie follows the story of Ella (Mason), who is a Newport socialite in 1905, and who dreams of using her wealth to help others.
Revealing the plot of the new movie, Hallmark said: “After learning her father intends for her to become engaged to a man she’s never met at the upcoming Christmas Eve ball, Ella goes for a night-time sail in her schooner to clear her head. Upon seeing a comet shoot across the sky, she wistfully wishes for a different life.
“Ella is shocked to suddenly find Nick (Brown), a sailor and local Newport historian, aboard her schooner and accuses him of being a stowaway. But Nick insists he owns the boat and a standoff ensues.”
From here Ella comes to quickly realise she has time travelled from 1905 to 2025, and she becomes reluctant to return. However, if she doesn’t return to her own time, she risks her legacy being erased, leaving her with a tricky predicament to deal with.
Should you wish to take a look at the new movie, A Newport Christmas will make its debut on Sunday November 2nd. The film airs at 8/7c.
