2010s

Into the 2010s and Farmiga began the decade in films such as Henry’s Crime and Higher Ground. In 2011 she featured in the Jake Gyllenhaal action-thriller, Source Code, while in 2012 she popped up in the Denzel Washington film, Safe House.

However, it was 2013’s supernatural picture, The Conjuring which really took Farmiga to a new level. Taking on the role of Lorraine Warren, opposite co-star Patrick Wilson as on-screen husband, Ed Warren, cemented Farmiga as a horror icon.

From here she would reprise the role of Lorraine for the sequel, The Conjuring 2, as well as spin-off movie, Annabelle Comes Home.
