Nobody 2 UK age rating

Let’s start with the UK, where Nobody 2 has been awarded a ’15’ certificate by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC). The movie has received this certificate due to “strong violence, injury detail, (and) language.”

In terms of violence, the BBFC says “There are sustained scenes of strong bloody violence, including gun fights, stabbings, repeated punches and kicks, head slams, blade throwing, throats being cut and people being strangled.” As for language, the ‘F’ bomb is dropped, and there are some milder swear words.

In the UK, if a movie is given a ’15’ certificate it is deemed suitable for audiences aged 15 or over only. No one under the age of 15 is permitted to watch a ’15’ certificate film in a UK cinema, not even if they are accompanied by an adult guardian or parent.

Based on this certificate, Nobody 2 is deemed suitable for teens 15+, but not suitable for 13-or-14-year-olds (or anyone younger).

Nobody 2 US age rating

In the US, the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) has given Nobody 2 an ‘R’ rating. The film has received this rating for strong bloody violence and language throughout.

In the US anyone can watch an ‘R’ rated movie, the only stipulation is that audience members under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult guardian or a parent. The MPAA also advises parents to learn more about the film before taking young children to a screening (although this is guidance and not law).

Based on this rating, in the US, Nobody 2 can be watched by any teen (of any age). It is up to parents to decide if they should.

If you’re still not sure, it might be worth checking out 2021’s Nobody, which is readily available on streaming or disc. This film was also rated a ’15’ in the UK/’R’ in the US, so should provide an indication of the tone, violence, and language you can expect in the sequel.
