Summer might still be in full-swing, but Hallmark is already looking toward the fall, to ensure viewers have something comforting to slide into when the sunshine begins to fade. And if you’re a fan of popular ‘00s television shows, you’re in for a treat.
The Network has announced hit series, Gilmore Girls is to air on Hallmark Channel. The show will arrive on screens in late August, arriving just in time for evenings in front of the TV, hot chocolate firmly in hand.
In a statement announcing the show’s imminent arrival, Hallmark said: “Did someone say cozy, small town charm? Beginning August 25, pop culture sensation Gilmore Girls joins the Hallmark Channel lineup.
“Just in time for the fall, the Gilmore family and the beloved residents of Stars Hollow will add twice the warmth and joy to Hallmark Channel’s widely adored slate of heartfelt programming.”
Commenting, Hallmark Media’s VP of Programming & Acquisitions, Ayn Prince, said: “The success of the Gilmore Girls universe is a testament to the power of storytelling that is centred around love, family, and close-knit community.
“Hallmark shares the same passion for feel good, whimsical content and characters, making this show and its ever-growing fandom the perfect addition to our Hallmark Channel viewing experience.”

Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, and debuting on The WB Network back in 2000 (before continuing on The CW), Gilmore Girls was a huge hit when it first aired. Not only did the series achieve critical acclaim, but it built up a strong and loyal fanbase, and went on to run for 153 episodes across seven seasons.
The series was led by Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel, who played coffee-loving single mother Lorelai Gilmore, and her academically minded teenage daughter, Rory. The pair lived in the fictional Connecticut town of Stars Hollow, and were joined on screen by a cast which included Melissa McCarthy, Keiko Agena, Yanic Truesdale, Scott Patterson, Liza Weil, Jared Padalecki, Milo Ventimiglia, Matt Czuchry, Sean Gunn, and Kelly Bishop, with special appearances by Edward Herrman.
Years on, the series continues to attract new viewers, while older fans are happy to return to the show again, and again, and again. Whether it’s the great cast of characters, or the fast-paced dialogue, Gilmore Girls has something special and nothing has been lost over time.

Should you wish to watch Gilmore Girls, the series will air from the very beginning starting Monday August 25th. You can catch episodes weekdays from 2pm to 6pm.
Gilmore Girls will also air on weekends from 8am to 10am. In addition, expect Hallmark to offer up some Gilmore Girls marathons.
