In The Nine Lives of Christmas, fireman Zachary Stone is a confirmed bachelor who has little interest in love or commitment. Zachary is also a good person, and when a stray tabby cat named Ambrose arrives at his door, he takes him in.

A short while later, Zachary begins to realise that maybe a little companionship isn’t a bad thing. In fact, his stance softens even further when he meets Marilee – an animal lover and veterinary student who teaches him how to care for Ambrose.
