As we head deeper into the summer, expect the nights to heat up thanks to Hallmark’s new romantic drama, Catch of the Day. The film will air as part of the station’s ‘Summer Nights‘ programming block, and promises to add a touch of romance amongst all the sun.
Catch of the Day focuses on Sophie – a soon-to-be executive chef. In the movie, she reconnects with an old crush, potentially changing the course of her life.
Describing the new movie, Hallmark said: “On the eve of becoming a NY executive chef, Sophie returns home to help her family’s flailing restaurant and runs into Cam, an old crush who makes her question everything.”

Catch of the Day stars Emilie Ullerup as Sophie, with Michael Rady as Cam, and Katie Lee Biegel as Abigail. The movie is one of a number of new films heading to Hallmark, joining the likes of Double Scoop and the Providence Falls movies.
Should you wish to check out Catch of the Day, the movie debuts on Hallmark Channel on Saturday August 30th. The film will air at 8/7c.
